Running at 4k resolution and I don't get a lot of slow down. Not seeing a big frame rate difference in World of Warcraft, but the game runs smoother with more bells and whistles turned on. Only crashes I've encountered have been LiteIcon, which hopefully will be fixed soon. Running the Office 2015 beta and it seems to perform better on 10.11 than it did on 10.10. So, in summary, hacking El Capitan is no different than Yosemite, so no worries there. About to test actual games to see if there's any improvement. Even in DP1, programs are loading before the login screen goes away. Only thing I needed to change was to add "rootless=0" to the boot arguments. TRIM support isn't there yet, but with the announcement that third party drives will get that support, I'm not worried. I have sound (natively through the ist, no less), ethernet, accelerated graphics, iMessage, etc. By which I mean, everything that worked in my Yosemite build works in El Capitan. So I figured what the hell and I installed El Capitan, upgrading over the old Yosemite install. Liteicon yosemite update#Well, in trying to switch from a patched AppleHDA kext that needs to be replaced every update to a Clover injected non-patched kext, I completely destroyed my kernel cache and rendered my Yosemite hackintosh unable to boot.
